Five Bailey Javins & Carter Lawyers Named as 2022 West Virginia Super Lawyers

Attorneys Timothy Bailey, JR Carter, and Lee Javins were designated as Super Lawyers, and attorneys Taylor Norman and David Bosak as Rising Stars. Attorney Tim Bailey has been selected as a Super Lawyer for 14 consecutive years (2009-2022). Tim has deep roots in West Virginia; he is a descendent of three generations of coal miners, and he has dedicated his practice to standing up for individuals who suffer personal injuries, and particularly those who get injured while working in dangerous occupations. Tim has been a member of the West Virginia Bar for three decades; and over the years, he has earned numerous honors and awards, including being nationally ranked as a Top 10 Attorney in the field of Personal Injury. - Blake “J.R.” Carter has been named as a Super Lawyer for three consecutive years (2020 – 2022), and prior to that, he was a Rising Star for five straight years (2015 – 2019). JR has been a member of the West Virginia Bar since 2005, and he has been admitted to practice before all the state courts as well as the US District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. Lee Javins has been named a Super Lawyer for the second consecutive year. Lee is a nationally ranked trial lawyer and has been a member of the West Virginia Bar since 1994. Taylor Norman has been named a Rising Star in the West Virginia Super Lawyers publication for the fourth consecutive year (2019-2022). Taylor graduated with honors from Charlotte School of Law in 2016, and since joining BJC, his practice has been focused on representing plaintiffs in complex civil litigation cases, including those involving product liability, workplace injuries, medical malpractice, consumer litigation, and class actions. Taylor has already earned several honors and awards, which include West Virginia State Bar Association Young Lawyer of the Year in 2020 and National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys Top 10 Attorneys Under 40 for three consecutive years (2019-2021).
David Bosak was named a Rising Star in the West Virginia Super Lawyers publication for the first time. David graduated with honors from Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2012, and he spent the first six years of his legal career working as a defense attorney representing primarily large corporations and insurance companies. This experience gave David a different perspective along with some very unique insights that allow him to better represent injured plaintiffs against large and well-funded adversaries.
