College of Commercial Arbitrators Announces 2023 Associates Selected for Prestigious Mentorship Program
Accomplished Females, Minorities Among Those Selected, Supporting Diversity in ADR Field
AUSTIN, TX – The College of Commercial Arbitrators (CCA) has completed selection of its 2023 “CCA Associates.” The CCA initiated the Associates Program to assist arbitrators from diverse backgrounds with their efforts to develop a commercial arbitration practice.
The mentorship opportunity allows CCA Fellows to share standards of ethics, professional conduct and best practices with the associates selected. “Along with so many of our other initiatives and programs, the CCA Associates Program speaks volumes about the CCA as a positive, proactive leader in the ADR community,” said CCA president, Neal M. Eiseman.
In total, 19 candidates submitted applications for this rare opportunity. The vast majority of applicants were U.S.-based, but applications also were received from candidates in China, Nigeria, Egypt and Italy. This year’s class includes associates from New York, Maryland, Florida and California. For the first time, it also includes a non-lawyer. The selected CCA Associates for 2023-2025 are:
- Rachel Gupta, a mediator and arbitrator for Gupta Dispute Resolutions, LLC in New York.
- Diana Kruze, a full-time arbitrator and mediator, specializing in high-tech and health care cases at Judicate West in California.
- Tina Patterson, an independent mediator, arbitrator and facilitator for Jade Solutions, LLC in Maryland.
- Jo Colbert Stanley, an arbitrator and mediator at Stanley Legal Services, LLC in Florida.
All CCA Associates have an active alternative dispute resolution (ADR) practice but less than five years of experience serving as a commercial arbitrator. Each of these newly selected CCA Associates will have the opportunity to participate in CCA Activities and educational programs for the next two years as well as to attend the CCA Annual Meeting in October.
