Fears Nachawati Promotes Three Attorneys to Partner
Brice Burris, Sarah Poormon, and Steve Schulte join the partners team
DALLAS, Feb. 11, 2021 – Fears Nachawati Law Firm is pleased to announce the promotion of three new partners: Brice Burris, Sarah Poormon, and Steve Schulte.
The three attorneys have proven their ability to attain strong results for Fears Nachawati clients and will each bring unique experiences to the partnership team. Burris, Poormon, and Schulte will join founding partners Bryan Fears and Majed Nachawati, as well as Matthew McCarley, John Raggio, Darren McDowell, Misty Farris, Ann Saucer, and Amy Shahan.

Brice Burris has been a valuable asset in attaining results for the firm’s clients since joining Fears Nachawati in 2014. He was part of a Fears Nachawati trial team that obtained the highest intentional tort jury verdict in Texas for 2018. Brice, along with the rest of the trial team, was recognized by the Texas Lawyer and inducted into the Verdicts Hall of Fame for their $166 million dollar verdict. Recently, Brice was recognized for his work on behalf of personal injury clients and was listed among Best Lawyers’ inaugural “Ones to Watch” list in 2020.
Sarah Poormon joined the firm in 2018 with 20 years of prior legal experience as a managing attorney. Among her other supervisory roles, Sarah plays a key part in developing and expanding the firm’s business transactions practice area. Her prior legal practice centered on criminal defense litigation. Through her current work with the firm serving on various legal plan committees, Sarah has facilitated the expansion of programs that provide the disadvantaged with greater access to justice.
Steve Schulte focuses his practice exclusively on the representation of individuals and families harmed by unsafe practices and products. Since joining the firm in 2020, Steve has managed a large mass torts docket. Additionally, he and Fears Nachawati partner Darren McDowell, has helped grow the firm’s asbestos department into a successful team helping clients nationwide. In 2020, Steve was honored as a Texas Super Lawyer for his ongoing and significant accomplishments in his field of practice after repeatedly being selected to the Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars list.
