ChIPs names Joan Toth as new executive director
ChIPs, the leading nonprofit association for women in law, tech, and policy welcomes Joan Toth as our next Executive Director, effective June 21st. Joan is a seasoned professional association leader, most notably as the founding Executive Director and CEO of the Network of Executive Women (NEW).
“I am beyond thrilled and excited to join the ChIPs team. There is so much opportunity to accelerate the impact we can make for women attorneys at the intersection of technology and the law,” said Ms. Toth. “We plan to grow our Annual Summit and Next Gen program, and we are eagerly planning new ChIPs programs for the coming year to build and connect our community.”
Ms. Toth drove the growth of NEW from its startup phase to more than 10,000 members, 100 corporate partners, and 150 events each year. “I firmly believe that diversity, equity and inclusion are critical business drivers. Our goal is to enable women to create greater impact in their companies and their careers, and enable member companies to attract, retain and advance female leaders” she added.
“Joan’s passion for diversity, equity and inclusion issues and her experience leading rapid growth to serve that mission are a perfect fit for ChIPs,” said Katherine Minarik, Vice President of Legal and Deputy General Counsel at Coinbase and Chairperson of the ChIPs Board of Directors. “On behalf of the entire ChIPs community, we are truly grateful to have a leader of Joan’s caliber join us. We know she will expand the impact of ChIPs and we can’t wait for what comes next.”
